TECHNICAL WRITER – Setting new standards – complex products - (CLOSED)

Would you like to be part of setting new standards for user-friendly documentation? Our customer aims to create industry-leading product documentation for their technically complex products that include generators, engines, power, electronics and communications.

You will work in a team and closely with product management, technical support, and research and development.

Our customer is a global supplier of green, safe and reliable control systems for decentralised power production. marine/offshore and wind turbines.

With headquarters in Skive, Denmark the company counts 500+ employees and has sales offices, compentence centres and training facilities in 10 key markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas, along with distibutors in an additional 35 countries and territories.


The Job

 You will be responsible for developing customer documentation for a brandnew and strategically important product. The responsibilities include:

  - Analyse end-users’ need for information

  - Develop appropriate information structures

  - Write user manuals and online help

  - Develop documentation and user interface terminology

  - Review and test the documentation

  - Develop relevant video content, as a supplement to the written documentation

  - Develop and optimise the company’s single-source writing system.

The position is based in headquarters.

Your qualifications

  - You have a science or engineering degree and excellent English writing skills

  - Alternatively, you have a language background (for example, a master’s degree in business communication) combined with technical insight and relevant experience

  - You have 2 to 5 years of technical documentation experience

  - You work independently, have a passion for technology and are naturally curious. You know how to convert your knowledge into clear communication, combining text with illustrations, video, interactive media, and other new technologies.
